I did something great today

I thought it would be good to have an ongoing thread where we could post positive things. Even on the worst days there is something good that happens - even if it is only a very small thing.

So, here we go... Today I read bedtime stories with my kids.

What stories were they?

I passed my midterm in EMT class today!

I found out that despite having no kitchen experience I'm doing pretty well at my new job <3 Which is wonderful because I want to be a master chef someday.

Gives me hope and the drive to bring it on harder tomorrow

Today I got out of bed and got dressed, even though I really really really wanted to sleep all day.

rough start today. horrible sleep. struggled to get out of bed BUT overcoming...

Feel more intelligent than ever before

Going to gym for first time in years (yea free pass!)

Going make a few people laugh/smile today.

Want/need to do more. Im going outside !

FIGHT FOR IT

I had a rough start too. Took a test and came back and took a long nap. But, I ended up eating lunch, going to the gym, and staying out of bed so far.

Feeling pretty even today. Had a good morning when usually they suck. I think it may have to do with the new meds? Hmm...

ANYWAY, I will be hanging out with my mom after work.. we will go out to eat and do some shopping.

Then, later tonight, I am going to smoke my friend out and take him to a movie. I think there are some benefits to having me as a friend

Oh.... adjusted meds twice over the lady 2 weeks. Starting to feel like a person again.

Today... I had to be spey l super mom. Found an engorged tick (ew!) On my couch hanging out. So, I had to go see the kids at school and search them for bites. Had to vacuum the couch, Ottoman, and every thing else in the house. Had to go to the pet store to get an arsenal of supplies for the dog, house, and yard.

Tomorrow, I will have to spray the yard. Found 2 more ticks on the dog this afternoon.

Yuck yuck yuck

Today I took my son to the quarry and we hiked for an hour. He thought it was awesome.

Thats awesome. I'm trying to find some more outside stuff to do like hiking around where i live. There aren't too many nearby.

I walked the dog and went to dbt group.

I got up at 8.30 today, to see my therapist. Earliest I've been up in days! And better still, I've resisted the temptation to crawl back into bed.

I'm dog sitting for my sister. I gave him a bath and brushed him quite a bit.

Then vacuumed the entire house and rinsed out the vacuum filters.

Then I hid from the mailman. :-(

Yesterday I did thinks I'm the yard I've wanted done for the last 2 years. I had 5 blueberry trees to move and I started the stairs leading from our patio. Go me!

You rock Dr! Get that stuff done! Today I increased my deadlift by 30 pounds up to 275! People I work with are definitely noticing the weight gain and strength increase! Also, a good friend I hadnt seen in months told me I look the best he's seen me in years! I have been )))))) all day. I'm also starting wellbutrin and finally off zoloft! That stuff makes me so lulled.

I finished a bunch of homework for the coming school week last night and today. I have a problem being moody and kindof a bitch to my boyfriend, but the past two weeks have gone pretty well

Nice one AMT. I worry about my boyfriend too - I can be very moody sometimes. But I think that as long as I try to stay self-aware, and as long as we communicate well, we'll weather this.

I finally finished my Ursa Major embroidery project! Now my flat is prettier, and I have a new possession.

Today I emailed the union rep to set up a meeting to find out what I need to do next regarding my medical leave. She wanted me to call her tonight, had to send an email explaining it would be hard to email get and call her on the same day.

Also, I went to the therapist. She verified that all the methods I'm taking to heal are good and follow cbt/dbt practices. So, that was relieving.

Today, I got up. And I am going to work. yayyy...
